My 80 Day Obsession journey
...is an 80 day program with a different workout each day focusing on different target areas each day. There are two days of what I’ll call “non-traditional” cardio plus 1 rest day.
I love that the workouts are different-it keeps me from getting bored! Most are relatively low-impact and have modifiers and the workouts build up over time in intensity so you are always progressing and your body doesn’t get used to the workouts and they stop working.
One of the keys to the program is “timed nutrition” where essentially you eat specific combinations of various food groups, at certain points in the day. In particular you have a “workout block” two small meals around your workout— one that you eat an hour or two before your workout and another after.
What’s interesting about this program is that I’m currently studying for my personal trainer certification, have a certificate in weight loss nutrition (because I don’t have nearly enough to do) and I had been doing a lot of research on timed nutrition and how effective it is!
It’s a big commitment in many ways but I’ve found it to be worth it in so many aspects of my life!
At the end of Phase 2 (after 2 months)I was down over 10 lbs and nearly 15 inches and I have abs!!

❌11.6 pounds GONE! Putting me at the EXACT weight my doctor wants me at.
✔️Starting body fat 27.9% ending 25%
✔️Starting BMI 24.9 (teetering precariously in the “overweight” category for my height and age) ending BMI 22(right in the center of “normal!)
More significantly, it’s changed my entire life! I’m more organized, I’m better at managing my time and schedule, I’m more motivated, have more energy, and feel awesome! And my clothes fit me again.
I recently turned 50 and have never been in this good of shape and I’ve NEVER had abs! This is the first bikini I’ve owned in over 16 years.
